This library came about out of need on a personal project. I wanted something light that also used the most recent version of MongoDB. The leading library for MongoDB on PHP, Doctrine ODM, was using an older MongoDB extension and I also didn't want something that heavy.

This project is technically still active, though I haven't really touched it in years, as what's currently written, works perfectly for my needs, so any future changes would be requests from the community.
